Vegan purses: Beautiful designs that tell a story December 6, 2017 19:10

Have you seen our vegan purse edit? As well as playful nature-inspired designs by talents such as Susie Faulks and India Johnson, we have some beautiful new designs by Laura Queening of Aura Que.

Our collections are always carefully curated, and as a PETA-approved vegan brand, we don't include products that are made from leather or other animal-derived materials. That's why you'll find lots of interesting alternatives in our vegan-friendly collections.

The latest additions to the vegan purse edit, for example, are handmade from materials such as handwoven cotton and vegan leather that's sourced directly from a local market in Kathmandu. Tilo vegan leather purses are carefully handmade by small fairtrade producers in Nepal to an exceptionally high standard so that they can be treasured and used for many seasons to come.

Green fish upcycled vegan purse

Upcycled green fish purse, £16.50: handmade in Cambodia from hardwearing recycled sacks.

The vegan purse edit also includes oilcloth clutches that are handmade in England by British textile designer Susie Faulks, and upcycled vegan purses that are made from recycled sacks by an organization that offers training and equitable wages to disadvantaged women in Cambodian villages. There are also bold botanical designs that are hand screen-printed in Newcastle upon Tyne onto 100% unbleached cotton.

Himalayan mountain vegan purses

Himalayan mountain clutch purses, £12: hand screen-printed with an eye-catching geometric mountain vista design. The cotton is handwoven in South Kathmandu and is stitched by a fairtrade collective that is dedicated to promoting Nepalese craft skills.

The beautiful designs in our vegan purse edit just go to show that it's possible to shop cruelty free without compromising on style. If a product has an inspiring or interesting back story, we think it adds to its charm, which is one of the reasons we've included a Meet the Maker section in our online product descriptions.
